“The Sun Is Also a Star” Movie Trailer Reaction

Okay, so I read this book like two years ago so I don’t really remember much of the details BUT I do know that I always described it as “Eleanor and Park” +” Before Sunrise” = this amazing creation by Nicola Yoon.

JANUARY WRAP UP!

In the whole of January 2019, I was able to read 10 books. Some of you might think, "Wow! You're amazing!" or "Wow, you must be a really fast reader". Well, I am usually a fast reader, but also at the same time, I was mostly still on break at the first half of January, hence the amount of time I had to read. Anyway, here's a summary of all the books I read last month!

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before

Lara Jean Covey is a high school student who secretly writes letters to guys she feels a "deep love" for and hides them in a hatbox, never to be sent. She is also trying to get through life without her big sister, Margot, there to save the day now that she's in college. It doesn't take long for shit to drop, and now LJ's secret love letters have somehow been sent, is in a fake relationship with one of the recipients of her letters, and is avoiding Margot's ex-boyfriend, who also received a letter.

FANTASTIC FEBRUARY + February TBR

One of the main reasons this caught my eye was that it is scheduled to be throughout the whole month of February. I decided that if I wanted to do at least one of these challenges ASAP, I would have to do it in February before things with school and thesis get even more hectic than it already is. Another reason why, is because “Fantastic February” is dedicated to reading fantastical books, and since I am in such a huge mood for fantasy right now (mostly because I got a lot of books under the fantasy genre in my TBR list…), I thought it would be a good idea to go for it!

Simon vs The Homosapiens Agenda

“Simon vs. The Homosapien Agenda” is about Simon Spier, a high school student who is also a closeted gay kid. The only person who knows this is Blue, a guy he met online who also goes to his high school. The twist? Simon and Blue don’t know who the other is. But when a classmate finds out about Simon’s sexuality and his emails, he blackmails Simon for his own gain, thus starting a hell of a ride for Simon as he figures out a way to balance school, friends, family, their upcoming school production of “Oliver”, and Blue.

Si Janus Silang: AT ANG TIYANAK NG TÁBON

“Si Janus Silang at ang Tiyanak ng Tábon” is about a young boy named Janus Silang. Janus is, like almost every kid his age, is addicted to video games — namely an online computer game named T.A.L.A., which is sort of like the story’s versions of League of Legends (LoL) and DOTA. One night, Janus is in a computer shop with his friend Harold and a bunch of other kids in their little town, when Janus finishes level 8 of T.A.L.A. he feels something go wrong and takes a weird trip home. The next day, he finds out Harold and the other guys at the shop were found dead.
